Momentous mentors burst forth from evocation
Reminders of troubled times
Transcending generations
Through blood, down timelines
Past and present's collaboration
Memoirs of grand design
Progress via exploitation
Mastering the tools of our mind
Be grateful for your memories
In memoriam the hymns we sing
Our homebrewed remedies
Elements that make up our dreams
Comprised of nightmares or reveries
Weaving webs like a seamstress seams
Tales of our heroes and worst enemies
Lessons from our subconscious streams
Have you heard their melodies?
The deafening murmurs and silent screams?
Fusing to comprehend our complexities
Just as our dreams too our memories flee
Lessons from remembrance sold
We only have what we remember
There is no fire when the coals grow cold
Even the ash forgets the embers
