Silver Tongues and Silent Wars

Solitude and it's potent poison
Turning the simple to complex
Monoliths meant to madden men
Endless causes and effects
Not all familiar faces are friends
Be wary of fearful whispers
Silver tongues hide behind their grins
Telling you what you mishear
Slumber to somber violence
What sleeps in shadows has awoken
Encroaching danger from the silence
Created from words unspoken
Not all familiar faces are friends
Remember the many layers you shed
Light and dark blend from dirty lenses
Choice is the silver lined thread
Best not to bite your tongue
Lest you crave to feed your umbra
Anger isn't meant to be unsung
It only continues to fuel the hunger
Not all familiar faces are friends
Beware the shadow that leads the way
If you follow detours to dead ends
Darker years await these darker days
