The Mercy of Letting Go

At last my venture of the holy mountian
Brings me to the western side
There a maiden bathes in the fountian
Beauty that matches the gods' pride
Watching as she descends into the caverns
I feel her eyes as I follow far behind
Known this home was of the grandson of Saturn
I was to be judged by one so divine
Gazing into the face of her trance
The desire she expresses fails to elude me
Between us I felt Eros dance
Wrath of Apollo would soon be upon me
Never would us two together ever leave Delphi
Lest it be across the river Styx
Still I speak the words to let this caged bird fly
Let it exist in the home of Nyx
