Frostbite and Fever

Honey you always look so sweet
But it's you that took the first bite
I'm not scared of when you sink in your teeth
More about what will happen after tonight
There are things more intoxicating than alcohol
I'm aware of the poison on the skin of your lips
I'm not so naive to let myself fall
But I won't apologize each time I catch myself slip
I find warmth in the whispers of clear intent
Fighting frostbite has left my self uncontrolled
I'm attempting to make these events less frequent
I'm asking for patience, if I may be so bold
