My brisk morning walk is full in motion
One could rightfully assume I run from my night
Unusually welcomed memories may bring a new notion
In this moment blessed is my curse of second sight
Somewhat somber, perhaps from a lack of slumber
Still there is life to be admired where I never knew
Moonlight's shine illuminates where my darkness lumbers
Once seen as barren, land were seedlings may have grew
Dreams are lost as we bury our nightmares behind us
Reluctantly we learned not all was meant to be forgotten
What at once convinced us our mind was treasonous
We now see can offer the same comfort as Egyptian cotton
